The members of the Greater Concord Interfaith Council, responding to the invitation to grow in the knowledge and love of our religious lives, affirm that what unites us is greater than what divides us. We work to create a respectful environment in which earnest people explore our religious diversity through common worship, mutual education, and community outreach. We trust that where there is conflict, people of faith can reach understanding and inspiration. We desire to provide leadership that encourages a humane and more public life.
Common worship shall mean sponsoring and facilitating interfaith services that draw upon the wisdom of all of our religious traditions and draw us together in a loving relationship with one another and with our held beliefs.
Mutual education shall mean providing a respectful environment in which to explore our diversity, discuss issues of concern openly and candidly, share our gifts and talents, and create community programs which encourage the spiritual growth and mutual understanding of all. Outreach shall mean taking every opportunity to speak out and to act on behalf of justice, tolerance, fairness and human need, within the greater concord community.
